‘Frozen Laughter’, an original song from Calm Before, the 1967 album by The Rising Storm, is included on Jingle Jangle Morning, a three-disc, four-hour collection of 1960s U.S. folk-rock.
Written by Tony Thompson, the Storm’s leader, lead singer, and rhythm guitarist, ‘Frozen Laughter’ is one of 74 songs compiled by Strawberry Records, a division of Cherry Red Records in London.
With songs ranging from Bob Dylan’s ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ performed by The Byrds, and Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’, to ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon and Garfunkel, and ‘For What It’s Worth’ by Buffalo Springfield, the compilation includes ‘hits, rarities, and deep cuts from a huge spectrum of artists’ representing a ‘major movement that transformed popular music.’
